Event Agenda
10:30 AM: Registration
- Start of the event and attendee registration.
11:00 AM: Logs are the new metrics by Sandeep Sukhani
- Grafana Loki is a Prometheus-inspired, horizontally scalable, multi-tenant log aggregation system. It lets you centrally aggregate logs cost-effectively by not indexing all the contents of the logs. With Loki, you can tap into the Prometheus ecosystem using just the logs. With its promql-like query language, you can convert logs to metrics at query time, build dashboards, alert on events or remote write metrics built from logs to Prometheus-compatible metric stores. Having been introduced just five years back, with more than 21K Github stars, it is the fastest-growing open-source log aggregation system. In this talk, I will show how Loki takes a different approach than the traditional log aggregation systems and various ways you can build metrics out of your logs.
11:30 AM: AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Speaker
- Interactive session with an expert speaker. A platform to engage, learn, and share insights in a community meetup.
11:45 AM: Elevating Operations through Comprehensive Observability for Scalable AdsTech Business by Aditya Goel
- In his talk, Aditya Goel will explore the development of a comprehensive Observability Dashboard, crucial for monitoring the AdsTech business triad: business, technical, and infrastructure metrics. With a deep dive into the challenges and design strategies, he will demonstrate how an integrated approach to observability can streamline operations and decision-making. Attendees will learn about the practicalities of creating such a dashboard, the visualization techniques that offer actionable insights, and how this holistic view can drive organizational success in TopAds.
12:15 PM: AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Speaker
- Another opportunity for an interactive session with an expert. Engage in the community's shared knowledge and experience.
12:30 PM: Observability at a Glance by Abhinav Dubey
- In this talk, we delve into the concept of observability as a critical component in modern systems monitoring. We'll explore its three pillars - metrics, logs, and traces - and discuss how they collectively provide a comprehensive view of a system's health and performance. By illustrating real-world scenarios, we highlight the importance of observability in proactively identifying and resolving issues, facilitating better decision-making and maintaining system reliability. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how observability functions as a powerful tool in the era of complex, distributed systems.
1:00 PM: AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Speaker
- Continued interactive discussion with an expert, enriching the learning experience of the meetup.
1:15 PM: Implementing Digital Twins with AWS and Grafana by Priyansh Negi
- Priyansh will share insights on implementing "Digital Twins" using AWS IoT Core and Grafana. With hands-on experience in creating live sensor data visualizations on Grafana dashboards, he will showcase the power of this combination. The talk will dive into the practical aspects of setting up Digital Twins, explore real-world use cases, and discuss how this approach can transform the understanding and utilization of sensor data. He aims to simplify the complexities involved, making Digital Twins accessible and demonstrating their significant impact on monitoring and visualization.
