Chitri Dam is situated in Sahyadri ranges &nbsp;near village Ite, 11 kms from Ajara Taluka place. The dam and reservoir premises are surrounded by mountains and very beautiful scenery. Chitri Dam is situated at 2400 ft. above MSL having water storage capacity 1.80 TMC. In the vicinity hills nearby the location of dam, paddy grown on stepped terraces of lands which have resemblance to Tea tree plantation at Kerala and Assam on the hills. Many more tourists visit this place in rainy season in entire surrounding and ambience enjoys rich flora and fauna nearly green throughout the year. Around the dam within reach of 20-25 km, there are other tourist locations like Amboli hill station, waterfall, Ramtirth temple and waterfall, Chaloba Temple etc.

About the Race The Chitri Ultra Marathon 2024 - Edition 3 is a one of the unique run in India held on Sunday, 23rd June 2024 viz. the early season of Monsoon. The run will help participants to test and push their own limits of fitness and endurance and give them the confidence to take on the challenge of running long distances.
 Race Format &bull; Participants can choose any category as per their choice.
&bull; Runners can register to participate in different categories &ndash; 75 KM, 50 KM, 42 KM, &nbsp;21 KM, 10 KM and 5 KM &bull; Participants need to cover the total distance of their chosen category in respective cut off category.
 Registration Please read privacy policy and Dos and Don'ts section carefully before registration &bull; Registrations will be open from 1st December &ndash; 31st May (midnight). &bull; On successful registration and payment using the link below, participants will receive a confirmation mail with their registration ID. &bull; Some part of the registration fees collected will be utilized towards the RunNiti Foundation &ndash; Sports for All. The amount collected will be used to purchase sports material which will be distributed to relevant NGOs to support those in need.

 &bull; Participant must have completed a Marathon or Personal Strava Link [42.195kms] within 5 hours 30 mins in the past 2 Years [1st Jan 2022 - till Event date] and should display a valid timing certificate. *Personal Run Assisting Gadgets will not be taken into account for the final calculation of laps or distance.

Registered and confirmed participants are required to participate in the Chitri Ultra Marathon 2024 (Virtual event) from the comfort of their location/vicinity using only the dedicated to any Running App (Strava/Garmin). Participants will have to complete the registered run i.e. Marathon (42.195 km)/ Half Marathon (21.097 Km)/10K (10 Km)/Fun Run (5 Km), using the App within the time band from 12:01 am, 23rd November 2024 to 11:59 pm on 24th November 2024 without a break. Please note that virtual participants will not be allowed to enter the event venue or course on race day i.e. 24th Nov 2024.
