This is how Konfhub was born
Both of us (Ganesh & Hari) were college classmates. When we met some 10 years after college, we found that both of us were bored with our jobs and were more interested in sharing knowledge, building communities and exploring & building new technologies. So we started CodeOps to realise our dreams.
Initially, we didn't know how to get started with running a company, so we wrote a book on Java! Writing a book was exhilarating and we had amassed a lot of knowledge in the process. We started a Java meetup to share that knowledge and slowly expanded to other topics. It has now expanded to 9 meetup groups with 22k+ members in Bangalore! As natural extension to running meetups, we started organizing conferences.
When we entered the conferences space, we realised there is no single platform for tech conferences. So we started KonfHub to serve as a platform for participants, organizers, speakers & even sponsors and vendors. Every morning when we start the day, we wish we could have many hands like an Octopus: We have to handle queries from our customers, respond to emails from clients, file taxes & maintain invoices, follow-up on co-ordinating meetups, have technical discussions with our engineers & work on our product backlog, plan out conferences, and so on. That said, the only thing we know when we start our day is that it’s going to be a ton of work and a whole lot of fun: the unpredictability, in a way, makes our work day exciting.
